Bio

Rachel has been with Fast Company since March 2008. She recently finished her master's degree at Columbia University School of Journalism, with a focus on magazine writing and production.

Before arriving in New York City last fall, Rachel studied at the University of California, Berkeley, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications and History. While there, she wrote for the university desk at The Daily Californian, and studied abroad in a French-language immersion program in Paris. In her spare time, she plays trumpet, travels as much as possible and enjoys photography.

A San Francisco native, Rachel often misses Mission-style burritos and wearing sweaters on foggy July afternoons.
